2014 Dodge Durango Review

This post presents the 2014 Dodge Durango review; the new model has 8 speeds automatic transmission which provides better fuel economy and also includes a modernized interior, faster acceleration, new rear and front style, and smooth shifting compared to its previous model.

2014 Durango has a new feature called 9-1-1 service that helps you to call them directly police while riding for road support etc. Even it has one more outstanding safety feature called Forward Collision Warning which will give you alerts and warnings if your vehicle is meeting an accident with another vehicle. ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) feature has been developed with radar sensors that show how many vehicles are there ahead if can found slow moving traffic and automatically it will set the speed of the vehicle to maintain the distance from other vehicles on road.

The updated interior comes with an excellent rear-seat Blu-ray player, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, and 7 inches TFT (Thin film transistor) with which you can find fuel economy data as well as audio.
The Dodge Durango 2014 has been marketed in 4 trim levels such as Citadel, Limited, R/T, and SXT. You will also get Rallye badging which is a tool packed up on the SXT model. Seven members can sit comfortably in this new SUV. All trim levels are well equipped with standard 18-inch alloy wheels, full power accessories, Bluetooth audio, phone connectivity, foglights, etc.

Coming to the 2014 Dodge Durango performance and powertrains Citadel and Limited trims are available with either V8 or V6 engine option but SXT has been developed with a V6 engine and R/T is available with a V6 engine only. The V6 engine includes an all-wheel-drive system and a four-wheel-drive system is standard on the V8 engine trim.

The Durango 2014 is equipped with a V6 3.6-ltr engine that generates 290hp but the Rallye package generates 295 horsepower & 260pf of torque. The estimated fuel economy of the new vehicle with rear-wheel drive can deliver 18 mpg on city premises and 25 mpg on the highways (20 mpg combined) and all-wheel drive can deliver 19 mpg combined (17 MPG in the city and 24 mpg on the highways).

The V8 5.7-ltr Engine churns out 360 horsepower &390 lb-feet of torque. The estimated fuel economy of AWD trims is rated at 14 mpg in the city and 22mpg on the highways (16 combined) and rear-wheel drive versions are rated 14MPG in the city and 23 MPG on the highways (17 combined).V6 versions can tow up to 6200 pounds and V8 engine models have a towing capacity up to 7,400 pounds. Now if you look into its safety features which play the most significant role while riding on the road at higher speeds, the 2014 Dodge Durango model has safety features like front side airbags, ADB (Antilock disc brakes), trailer sway control, side curtain airbags, traction and stability control. Packing sensors and a review camera is an option on the SXT version but standard on all versions of the new Durangos.

For side-impact protection, this new model has received 5 stars out of 5 in Govt testing and from IIHST Durango has received good ratings for its concert. It has responsive steering and you can ride it freely on any kind of road on the highways you can feel comfortable and calm cabin environment.
